Latvian Company Formation Information

Terms
A Latvian Company can be incorporated within 5-10 working days.

Registered office requirements
The Company’s registered office must be in Latvia. It can either be rented or bought at the moment of incorporation. No P.O. boxes are allowed for the registered address. We can offer you a registered office address. To learn more, please visit the "EU virtual address" link.

Structure of the Company
The Company requires a minimum of one director and one shareholder. A Latvian company’s shareholders and directors may be of any nationality and residents of any country. The same person can be both the shareholder and director. Directors and shareholders may be natural persons or corporate entities.

Authorized capital
For a Latvian Limited Liability Company (Sabiedrība ar ierobežotu atbildību or SIA), the minimum authorized capital used is LVL 2,000.00 (~EUR2850.00).

Please note, that there is no maximum authorized share capital.

Taxation
Latvian Limited Liability companies are operating under 15% income tax and 21% VAT.

Company maintenance
A monthly report must be taken to the local tax office every month. An annual balance sheet must be submitted no later than March.

All documentation is in the Latvian (the official state language).

Shelf Company without VAT license: 600 EUR
Shelf Company with VAT license: 1500 EUR
Monthly maintenance: Starting 100 EUR / month *
